Στα 32 του χρόνια εγκαταλείπει την ενεργό δράση ο Αργεντινός Guillermo Canas. Το παρακάτω κείμενο είναι από το http://news.bbc.co.uk/
"Guillermo Canas, briefly the nemesis of Roger Federer, has announced his retirement from tennis.
The 32-year-old Argentine said he was ending his career rather than undergo a fifth operation on his right wrist.
He has been battling pain in the wrist for more than a year and has not played in a tournament since July 2009.
Canas ended Federer's 41-match winning streak at Indian Wells in March 2007, and also defeated the world number one in Miami later that same month.
"I beat the most talented player in the world," he said. "For me, it was unbelievable. And then to do it again 10 days later was like a dream."
Canas was suspended from tennis for two years in August 2005 after testing positive for a banned diuretic.
The ban was later reduced to 15 months after he appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Cas agreed Canas had not knowingly taken the diuretic when it was administered by officials at the Mexican Open in February 2005.
But Cas added that players "had a duty of utmost caution" when it came to checking what drugs and medication they were permitted to use.
At the time of his ban, Canas was ranked 10th in the world and had won six ATP Tour titles. "
